Responsibilities
Plan field visits and assessment:
- Coordinate with Technical team to plan assessments and field
visits-based projects Plan.
- Identify areas prone to exploratory assessments through
context monitoring.
- Make the necessary arrangements before the assessments/field
visits (follow-up access with facilitation letters, arrange
meetings and discussions with key informants/partners, set
times, check availability,etc.).

Ensure routine monitoring of projects & ensure findings are timely shared with Technical Department for utilization to improve quality of interventions:
- Support the creation of monitoring tools.
- Provide a report on the activity monitored / evaluated,
systematically documenting best practices,
conclusions and recommendations.
- Supervise daily wage teams of field monitors as per
protocols.
- Perform monitoring of activities in the locations where
project activities are implemented.
- Collect feedback of beneficiaries and local stakeholders
through mechanisms agreed.
- Perform post-completion monitoring/evaluation in the
locations where project activities are implemented as per
plan, to measure impact of AAH intervention in Syria.


Collection of Information and Data Gathering for assessments:
- Identify the eligible people for interviews/ questionnaires.
- Conduct interviews at different levels in person or remotely (telephone call), on paper or mobile.
- Apply and manage different questionnaires/data collection tools depending on the case.
- Compile indirect information and triangulate the provided data through direct observation, alternative
questions and alternative informants.
- Analyze information gathered, develop visualization if relevant, and propose recommendations.

Regular monitoring of the context:
- Maintain regular contact with beneficiaries, community leaders, municipality representatives and other (I)NGOs.
- Cross check information with field-level sources of information.
- Alert AAH staff of any issue/change or threat that might be detected.

Reporting:
- Report the progress of the work to Reporting Officer.
- Report possible problem or conflict during the activities.
- Report achieved weekly activities and plans for following week.

Other tasks:
- Support any other projects activities (items distribution, mass information campaigns, etc.).
- Support data entry efforts whenever required.
- Translation of internal documents, reports, correspondence.


Qualifications
- University degree (BA in Social Fields or any related field).
- One year of related previous professional experience.
- Arabic; English compulsory, spoken, read and
written.
- Computer and internet use skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Ability to travel to different governorates in Syria for project
monitoring according to the need.
- Dynamic, flexible, team player.
