Responsibilities
Core Purpose of the job:
Supervises and solves alarms of the entire network elements
Key Tasks:
- Perform daily routine tasks in the job (monitoring and handling all nodes in the same way and dealing with the very same types of alarms everyday ).
- Supervise and handles network elements alarms according to MTN QOS procedures.
- Handle troubleshooting activities to solve encountered problems in the entire network.
- Handle the registration of alarms in the central database and escalate unsolved problems.
- Applies the preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Perform systems periodical backups and secures archive files (for OSS administrators)
- Respond to emergency cases.
- Apply safety and security measures in all MTN core network premises.
- Maintain safe, secure, and adequate environmental standards for equipments operations. Ability to supervises and handles all MTN' network elements.
- Ability to analyze the faults in a manner way.
- Full abidance with the company s instructions/rules/standards/measures related to Information Security.
- Communications with other 3rd party companies (Ericsson, Siemens or Alcatel support) and other concerned teams in MTN Technical (BSS, NSS, maintenance) are required
- Rports to the other concerned parties immediately urgent cases; and give clear description about the state of the problem after analyzing it.
