Responsibilities
1) Provide technical advice on all aspects of the agricultural activities related to the project in terms of planning, design, implementation, follow-up and evaluation
2) Contribute to the needs assessment process within the targeted communities in the eastern region of Kalamoun.
3) Assist in the development of criteria for selecting youth initiatives aimed to enhance agricultural production and evaluating the stages of agricultural production. implementation.4) Contribute in developing a detailed implementation plan related to the
of the agricultural process based on selected seasons and varieties, and develop mechanisms to develop solutions to overcome the risks related to agricultural and pastoral matters.
5) Assist in the development of the technical standards and specifications required for the household garden bag and agricultural bags to be purchased by the implementing partners.
6) Overseeing the farmer training program "Production planning and natural resources management", through coordination with the implementing partner associations to choose the appropriate training series and all the details related to the training (designing the training program, assisting in the development of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms).
7) Assisting in the development of standards and technical specifications for the portfolio of support for vulnerable livestock breeders.
Supervising Training program for livestock farmers in coordination with partner associations ((Training on improved livestock breeding practices) by following up the details of the training (designing the training program, assisting in the development of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms).
9) Assisting in the development of the criteria for selecting the production units to be financed and follow-up of the implementation phases.
10) Assist in selecting the locations of the wells that will be excavated or repaired in accordance with the laid agricultural plan, which takes into account the places of concentration of agricultural areas to be fed, and supervise the activities associated with the drilling and restoration of wells.
11) In coordination with partner associations, a special program has been developed for the series of awareness lectures that can be implemented in community centers related to the use of environmentally friendly technology and smart agriculture for the development of production.
12) Support the women's and local committees dedicated to the agricultural sector, by assisting in the provision of necessary technical support and training corresponding to the functions of the committees.
13) Work on providing project staff (Oxfam, partner associations) with training and technical sessions when needed.
14) Submit periodical reports to reflect actual implemented activities and lessons learned, with the aim of supporting continuous learning.
15) Participate in annual learning activities to learn from challenges and mistakes.
16) Participate in regular meetings held by the administration in Oxfam, Damascus or in the eastern Kalamoun district (either internal meetings or meetings with partner ministries), upon request.
17) Ensure that the harmless and participatory approach is promoted with the targeted communities and stakeholders by involvement in the full phases of the project (planning, design, implementation, follow-up, assessment, learning).
18) Undertake periodical visits to the project area (East Kalamoun), upon request.


Qualifications
1) A graduate of agricultural engineering, preferably with a master's degree
2) Work experience in the field of agricultural advisory services for not less than 5 years.
3) Work experience with government institutions and international organizations with agricultural development consultancy services for at least 10 years.
4) Experience in conducting agricultural development studies and all related to the agricultural census and conducting the necessary statistical surveys for not less than 5 years.
5) Work experience in agricultural strategic planning for not less than 5 years.
6) Work experience in food security projects of not less than 5 years.
7) Experience in vocational training (for farmers and livestock breeders) for at least 3 years.
8) Experience writing reports.
9) High communication skills.
10) Good skills using Microsoft Office software
11) Good level of English (reading, writing, conversation).
