Responsibilities
- In close coordination with the Community Engagement Coordinator and the project staff, build partnership and trust with Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Common Interest Groups (CIGs) and local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and facilitate their access to and collaboration with the project.
- Under the supervision of the Community Engagement Strengthen Coordinator, contribute to the design of the all-AWPs activities. This includes context analysis for targeted areas, implementation of Participatory Rural Appraisal’s (PRA) activities and processes, and selection of targeted areas.
- Participate in Community Models design, and identify local partners (NGOs, CBOs, social services centres etc) to implement the Community Models.
- Assist in Forming, and mentoring CBOs and (CIG) in the targeted area, and support the communities to design and establish their governance and management structures compliant with local laws and legislation.
- Enable LNGOs to identify and address their needs, and identify beneficiaries according to solid and gender-sensitive criteria.
- Participate in addressing the training needs of the CIG and partner CSOs.
- Support in tracking and following up with the Community groups and CSOs on the community Models establishment process, and later support in managing the Community Models and ensuring that all activities are implemented in accordance with AKF and donor policies, procedures and requirements
- In coordination and guidance of MERL Officer, support and participate in M&E activities including pre- and post-assessment development, and data & information collection.
- Under the supervision of the Community Engagement Strengthen Coordinator, develop case studies that are both qualitative and quantitative and which expose best practices, lessons learned and success stories from the field and prepare all progress reports.
- Provide reports (monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc) to the project managers

Qualifications
- The applicant must have a university degree in a relevant field.
- At least 1 year of experience in community mobilization.
- The principle of community empowerment and mobilizing tools,
- Gain an intimate understanding of communities,
- Creativity and ability to inspire others,
- Excellent negotiation, teamwork, and communication skills, Interpersonal Relationships
- Have a high level of personal motivation, and ability to work under pressure.
- Good command of English and required computer software (MS Word, PowerPoint, outlook, excel)
- Male applicant should have finished their military service, exempted, or postponed for one year at least.
- At least 1 year of experience in community mobilization.
