Responsibilities
Objective 1: (To ensure successful implementation of WASH activities according to ACF and humanitarian agreed standards and protocols, as well as to validated plans, budget, and timeframes)
•Conduct assessment and identification of communities WASH and infrastructure priority needs as directed by the line manager
•Ensure that projects target beneficiary sites/units most in need and explore and assess new and better ways to assist.
•Provide data and information necessary for development of project concept notes and proposals
•Preparation of projects technical documents (Bill of Quantity, drawings, technical specifications etc.) and ensures accuracy and quality.
•Assist in developing works packages for contractors: Bill of Quantities, technical specifications and special conditions on the contracts.
•Ensure quality and quantity of goods and services received from contractors/suppliers and that these are compliant with contract, sector, Action Against Hunger and donors’ standards
•Ensure that the implementation of WASH and Infrastructure activities are being done as agreed with local authorities and agencies and in line with validated plans, budget, and timeframes
•Contribute to preparation of weekly and monthly work plan.
•Supervise and carry out the implementation of WASH and infrastructure activities, including but not limited to rehabilitation of shelter, rehabilitation and upgrading of WASH infrastructure, sewerage system, irrigation, distribution of Non Food Items, hygiene kits etc.
•Carry out documentation and archive all documents related to WASH and Infrastructure activities, in your area of responsibility.
•Any other duties relevant to WASH and Infrastructure activities.
•To support developing and updating the tools and guidelines related to team capacity building
•Provide technical support and coaching to field engineers and daily workers
•Monitor contractors’ compliance with health and safety regulations on site
•Regularly report on activity progress, challenges, and mitigation measures
•Participating in After-Action Reviews and Lessons Learned exercises
•Ensure proper documentation of field activities including photos, GPS coordinates, and beneficiary feedback
•Contribute to periodic situation analysis and needs assessments
Objective 2: (External and Internal Representation and Coordination)
•Work closely with the project team, Log and Admin staff to make sure activities are being implemented according to the planned timelines, within the budget.
•Work closely with MEAL on reporting and post completion monitoring reports.
•Liaise and coordinate with relevant authorities’ implementation of WASH and Infrastructure projects in the field.
Participate in WASH sector/cluster meetings at field level when delegated
•Coordinate with other sectors (FSL, Nutrition, Health) for integrated response
•Contribute to the preparation of donor reports and success stories

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in (electrical, civil, mechanical engineer) or any other relevant field.
Previous experience (years):Minimum 2 years in similar responsibility.
Humanitarian sector knowledge: Preferred.
Organization knowledge: Preferred
Languages: Arabic & Languages.

Salary and Benefits
Contract period: 6 months renewable base on Action Against Hunger fund and performance
Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.
Duty station: Hama.
