Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:
•Ensure admission procedures for the youngsters taking into consideration the best interest of the child
•Follow up on each child’s social file individually and ensure that all necessary information is collected correctly and through the village administration and in cooperation with supervisors.
•Examine the cases of acceptance of candidates to move to youth facilities and semi-independence stage, in accordance with the general national policy criteria for admission.
•Provide information about youth candidates / youth facilities - semi-independence / accepted cases/ to the National Youth Coordinator in cooperation with the village Director and in cooperation with the National Educational Committee to take the appropriate decision.
•Ensure that new youngsters are integrated into youth facilities.
•Ensure that all papers and documents related to the youngster candidate have been received.
•Make the necessary updates to the statistical program PDB2.
•Support and monitor supervisors and youth achievements.
•Visit youth facilities and ensure the suitability of placing young candidates in the new phase.
•Organize periodic visits to villages and coordinate youth communication with SOS mothers in cooperation with youth supervisors.
•Coordinate necessary training for youth supervisors on the basis of assessing the needs that serve the continuity of work.
•Coordinate with integration and empowerment officer to conduct the necessary training and rehabilitation for youngsters after assessing actual needs
•Ensure that youth and supervisors files are documented and updated
•Follow up on the updates of the individual plans for youth periodically in cooperation with supervisors.
•Follow up on the implementation of the annual plan and the range of achieving it by supervisors and identifying gaps.
•Check the progress of the youth development project through the Youth Education Committee
•Carry out (when necessary) at least one visit annually to biological families, especially for those families who are waiting to host their children during the holidays.
•Ensure checking youngster protection through safe communication with his/her biological family during visits , in cooperation with supervisors.
•Rehabilitation of biological families that have the ability to reunify with their child
•Update information about any change in the biological status of the family.
•Learn about the global background, philosophy, principles, policies and structures of SOS Children's Villages.
•Attend educational and administrative meetings and assisting in administrative tasks as required and work requirements.
•Complete all tasks in the best way and act as a role model for supervisors and youth.
•Support in preparing monthly financial claims in cooperation with supervisors and project accountant.
•Perform any other tasks specified by the line manager.
Child Safeguarding (CS):
•Child protection is everyone's responsibility.
•Each child has the right to learn.
•Ensure early detection of any abusive or inappropriate behavior and handle it in proper way to minimize the child safety risks.
•Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles.
•Responsible for reporting any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately.
•Following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the respective line manager or the local child safeguarding team, or to any other member of the national CS team.

Qualifications
University degree in education or social sciences
Minimum 2 years of experience in child and family development programs or similar field
Minimum 1-year administration experience
Motivation for work focused on children and families
Good knowledge of standards and current directions of development in the field of child's rights approach, and social welfare systems
Good knowledge of legal issues relating to social welfare
Organizational skills; skills of planning and organizing resources necessary for achievement of goals
Leadership skills
High level of communication skills
Ability to work in stressful condition

Salary and Benefits
Contract until the end of 2025 (31-December-2025) with the option of extension based on performance and funds.
