Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain critical backend components of our SaaS platform. You’ll work closely with our Lead Engineer and CTO to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop backend services, APIs, and database models using Python and Django/Django REST Framework.
Collaborate on architecture, system design, and performance optimization.
Ensure code quality through reviews, testing strategies, and deployment best practices.
Contribute to system scalability, security, and reliability.
Mentor junior developers and support a small, focused engineering team.
Identify and address technical debt in line with coding standards.

Qualifications
Technical Requirements:
Strong expertise in Python, Django, and REST API development.
Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) with performance tuning and caching strategies.
Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous tasks (Celery, Redis, etc.), and message queues.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong grasp of security best practices and monitoring tools.
5+ years of backend development in production environments, with a track record of delivering business-critical systems.
