Responsibilities
1. Have excellent knowledge and understanding in all gymnasium equipment, in explaining the function of and targeted muscle groups.
2. Provide exercise programmers and demonstrate these.
3. Responsible for the opening and closing of the entire Spa.
4. Day to day responsibility for equipment, cleanliness and hygiene of the premises.
5. Handle, store and utilize all chemicals properly and safely.
6. Responsible for performing plant room procedures, daily water balance tests and maintaining the correct disinfections and Ph levels of the pool.
7. Must attend all training courses as deemed necessary, and must adhere to training as set down by The Spa Manager.
8. Will be expected to aid in fitness demonstrations as and when required.
9. Conduct fitness assessment and personal training.
10. Give instruction and guidance to gym and pool uses. Watching for the welfare and safety of all. The ability to enforce The Spa rules and regulations with guests.
11. Instruct fitness classes and any other activities as offered by the Spa.
12. Ensure changing areas and relaxation rooms are tidy, clean and stocked with linen at all times.
13. Supplement heavy cleaning performed by housekeeping by touching up sinks, counters, floors and other areas as necessary.
14. Handle lost and found items.
15. Work closely with the engineering department to administer preventive maintenance procedures and to limit equipment down time by ensuring proper use and care,
16. Report equipment malfunctions promptly and accurately.
17. Ensure safety procedures is followed and notifies security of any accident or injury.
18. Take appointment bookings both fitness and beauty.
19. Assist guests, or visitors in seating, offering towels and provide accurate information to guests in a courteous manner; fill all reasonable guests requests or requirements; anticipates guests needs.
20. Take messages with an emphasis on accuracy and proper follow-up.
21. Recite all hotel services, hours of operation, key personnel, hotel policies, etc.
22. Keep The Spa and senior management well informed of any guests problems or complaints, and action taken. Handle any guest inconvenience or complaint swiftly, with a smile and to the satisfaction of the guest.
23. Display a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with guests, employees and outside contacts.
24. Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
25. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff. The ability to use the hotel computer system and telephone system.
