Responsibilities
1. Participate in the planning of the Purchasing & Logistic activities as per the department objectives including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, optimizing purchasing spend, and cost-saving initiatives.
2. Identify reliable suppliers and services providers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
3. Supervise the full purchasing process of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions, specifications, cost and budgetary constraints, and timely delivery.
4. Supervise and participate in the preparation of project contracts including but not limited to the preparation of tender books, send requests for quotations (RFQs), bidders’ evaluation, to choose the best technical and commercial offers.
5. Oversee the shipment and delivery of materials and equipment until arrival to UCG’s warehouse ensuring the timely delivery and solving/escalating any raised issues.
6. Check suppliers’ invoices for accuracy, oversee the disbursing suppliers’ payments, and solving any raised issues.
7. Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing issues and seeking continuous improvement in service and quality.
8. Supervise and ensure the frequent updating of the Vendor List (VL).
9. Ensure procurement activities comply with regulations, policies, and ethical standards, while also mitigating potential risks.
10. Coordination with the Legal Department regarding arranging governmental extension of the Project, Extension of Temporary declaration.
11. Participate in setting departmental objectives and plans in alignment with the company’s strategy, goals, and objectives.
12. Manage, develop, and evaluate the performance & competencies of subordinates in order to achieve companies & departmental goals and objectives.
13. Any other duties that may by assigned to the jobholder by direct manager.

Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement function with the last 2 years in a supervisory level, In heavy industry
Bachelor’s Degree preferable in Trade and Economy , Logistics, Supply Chain Management, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
Possesses an advanced English language proficiency
