Responsibilities
Duties, objectives, and competencies
• Ensure the management of the security Guards in his AoO.
• The Safety Assistant will manage all safety and security equipment, ensuring that it is well maintained and functional, including First aid Kits and Fire Extinguishers.
• Ensure the safety of the offices and staff.
• Train new staff members in communication protocols and the communication tree.
• Maintain a table of contact numbers for all staff working in the Office, Update, and share list with Safety & Security Manager North and Central Syria.
• Keep a copy of the visitor log and check it monthly.
• Ensure that the APPROPRIATE contact numbers are available in all GOAL office's in his AoO
• Ensure that all staff in the Office have an updated ‘GOAL ID.
• Report daily to the Safety & Security Manager North and Central Syria about the general situation of the office regarding the safety and the security of the building.
• Maintain verbal contact with all cars and Team Leaders in the field at regular intervals.
• Ensure that the team traveling has the appropriate equipment as required per GOAL safety procedures and vehicles have a First Aid Kit.
• Follow GOAL communication procedures.
• Gather information from the field as and when requested.
• Raising reports on accidents and violations.
• To carry out any other relevant tasks as requested by Safety & Security Manager North and Central Syria.

Qualifications
Requirements (essential)
• BA.
• Minimum a year experience working on security management.
• Attend two of these relevant S&S training (Fire safety, Evacuation safety, Road safety, Premises safety, Negotiation Techniques in Critical Situations, First Aid, Security Risk Management, Crowd Management and Threat Handling, Mine and Explosive Hazard Awareness) at least and certificated..
• Work experience in NGOs for 2 years at least.
• Live in Aleppo.
• In-depth knowledge of the Syria context.
• Strong context-analysis skills
• Able to work and manage workload in a highly stressed role and working environment.
• Good spoken and written Arabic
• Good spoken and written English
• Computer skills – Word and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and react to emergency situations in a calm and logical manner.
• Sensitivity to gender and diversity issues in work practices.

• Intermediate in English Language.
