Responsibilities
1. Follow up on implementation of project(s) Monitoring Evaluation activities in conjunction with programmme teams, as per the individual project MEAL plans.
2. Assist in collecting, maintaining, and analyzing various data for M&E activities.
3. Support in cleaning, analysis and drafting of M&E reports
4. Follow-up on M&E findings, recommendations, issues from CFM to ensure that operations take appropriate actions to resolve the issues or recommendations.
5. Follow-up, consolidate, review and translate M&E reports from implementing partners.
6. Support in designing tools and updating M&E database.
7. Organize, collate and compile data and other media files in secure M&E database.
8. Assist in the circulation of M&E reports, analysis, findings to relevant project managers
9. Liaise with third party monitors (TPM) monitoring schedules and MEAL plan.
10. Conduct translation of all M&E tools, data, findings and reports into Arabic when needed
11. Support in Monthly, Quarterly and Annual M&E reports.
12. Recording and documenting M&E activity deliverables, flags, challenges, and tracked issues.
13. Design internal monitoring plan as assigned in monitoring plan per project(s) / Proposal(s).
14. Closely coordinate with supervisor and follow up on any major issues observed, flags raised, challenges and sensitive matters.
15. Ensure full coverage of monitoring activities as drawn in the M&E Plan per project.
16. Triangulate information based on different verified data sources and report any potential risks coming from TPM field observation.
17. Adhere to IOM staff standard and policies and practice PSEA at all times.
18. Participate in specific monitoring and reporting exercises as assigned.
19. Flag and bring to the attention of the supervisor delays or challenges regarding data quality or compliance issues with the IOM, donor, or partners M&E requirements.
20. Provide administrative backstopping support for the Programme Support Unit as required
21. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.


Qualifications
- University degree in Social Science, Development Management or Planning, Statistics or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or
- Completed High School degree in above field with four years of relevant experience.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in Syrian context, an asset;
- Information analysis and report writing, required;
- Proven ability to consolidate and validate information from multiple sources;
- Proven ability to work with presentation software, e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint is a must.
