Responsibilities
Primary Function:
The Interior Designer will support and enhance the design and functionality of interior spaces across all MDM brands and projects, focusing on creating aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe interior environments. The role involves defining space requirements and selecting appropriate finishes, materials, colors, lighting, furniture, and fixtures in alignment with MDM’s brand identity and operational requirements. The Interior Designer will work closely with internal teams to develop design concepts, prepare interior design drawings, and present proposals for review and approval.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks / Duties
Design & Concept Development:
Plan, draw, and develop 2D and 3D interior design concepts for fit-out, renovation, and decoration projects across all MDM brands.
Create innovative interior design solutions that reflect MDM’s strategic goals, brand standards, and functional needs.
Prepare and present mood boards, material and finish selections, FF&E proposals, lighting concepts, and interior design presentations for internal approval.
Project Documentation & Coordination:
Prepare detailed interior design drawings including layout plans, elevations, sections, details, and 3D visualizations for internal use and contractor reference.
Produce interior fit-out and execution drawings in accordance with company standards and applicable interior design and safety requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and external suppliers to ensure accurate implementation of approved interior designs.
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and samples to ensure compliance with approved design intent.
Budgeting & Resource Management:
Assist in developing and managing interior design project budgets, ensuring cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.
Source and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and decorative elements while maintaining proper documentation for procurement and cost control.
Internal Communication & Presentation:
Present design concepts, visualizations, material samples, and progress updates to MDM management and relevant internal teams.
Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and revise interior design proposals accordingly.
Ensure all interior designs reflect MDM’s brand values, culture, and operational requirements across all projects.
Site Supervision: Conduct site supervision visits as required within Damascus and other cities to ensure that interior design execution aligns with approved concepts, specifications, and company standards.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture with an interior focus, or a related field.
Specific Vacancy Requirements
Experience:
2–5 years of professional experience in interior design, preferably within corporate, commercial, or retail environments.
Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Photoshop, V-Ray, and Corona Renderer.
Strong space planning, visualization, and detailing skills with a high level of attention to aesthetics and quality.
Solid understanding of interior fit-out processes, materials, and finishes.
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and multitasking skills with a collaborative team-oriented approach.
