Responsibilities
•Conduct initial assessments and determine the priority of the case, in line with the risk prioritization strategy
•Review program expectations, outcomes, and confidentiality with each potential client
•Conduct detailed assessments of each case, gathering information about the child and their family’s situation, including risks as well as strengths, resources, and capacities
•Develop an individualized case management plan in consultation with their supervisor, including specific steps or actions with a timeframe designed to meet protection needs and address the risks
•Follow-up each case on a regular basis, providing assistance were needed and report progress to their supervisor, suggesting changes and adjustments where needed
•Provide referrals to other services as identified in the service plans and connect clients to services identified
•Conduct community outreach and maintain a strong network of service providers that meet client needs
•Provide clients with extended orientation on a variety of topics such as navigating transportation, shelter, healthcare and other social service systems at the local level
•Respond to client crises, with guidance from supervisor as needed
•Maintain up-to-date documentation in clients’ case file to ensure services are properly documented throughout the clients’ service period
•May accompany clients to court appointments or relevant social/health service appointments
•Participate in case management meetings with supervisor
•Attend relevant trainings and meetings at the local and national level
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field
•Minimum 2 years of experience in case management and/or PSS, preferably with an (I)NGO
•Strong coordination and communication abilities
•High ethical standards and confidentiality
•Working level of English (writing and speaking)
•Strong understanding of safeguarding principles, including PSEA, and commitment to child protection standards

Specific Vacancy Requirements
ADRA Syria is looking for experienced and enthusiastic individuals to be part of the Case Management Team and perform key assessment, screening, referrals, and holistic case management support to children of ADRA’s Education in Emergencies program.
The case worker works closely with children, colleagues, and external parties to develop service plans to meet individual child needs utilizing a broad range of services and resources in accordance with eligibility and program requirements. They also address emotional and psychological concerns, and assist with ensuring children’s protection needs are met and protection risks minimized.
