General Role:
The Stabilization Support Unit (SSU) is seeking to recruit a Child Protection Facilitator to work in community centers in Al-Safira and Manbij.
The Child Protection Facilitator is responsible for planning and implementing child protection activities within Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) and through community outreach activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children and promoting their psychosocial well-being. The role also involves identifying children at risk and referring them to appropriate case management services, while coordinating closely with protection, psychosocial support, volunteers, and community committees to ensure the delivery of integrated, high-quality child protection services in line with child protection standards and humanitarian principles.
Duty Station: Al-Safira and Manbij – Rural Aleppo
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and organize children’s activity plans within Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) and through outreach activities.
- Lead and supervise Child Protection Volunteers and assign tasks related to children’s activities and events.
- Identify child protection cases and refer at-risk children to the Child Protection Case Manager in accordance with established referral pathways.
- Support the Case Manager in conducting initial assessments and/or providing general counseling when required.
- Assist in implementing awareness-raising sessions on various child protection topics.
- Contribute to the development of awareness materials and activities in coordination with the Child Protection team.
- Support Child Protection Committees and Children’s Clubs in organizing and conducting child-focused activities and events.
- Prepare regular reports on implemented activities and their impact on children.
- Coordinate with the Child-Friendly Spaces team to ensure the inclusion of targeted children in social and recreational activities.
- Coordinate with the Psychosocial Support (PSS) Facilitator to conduct basic psychosocial support activities and identify cases requiring referral to specialized services.
- Participate in relevant trainings and coordination meetings as required.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Social Sciences, or any other relevant field.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in child protection, protection programming, or community-based work, preferably with humanitarian or development organizations.
- Good knowledge of child protection principles, case management, and referral mechanisms.
- Experience in implementing recreational, awareness-raising, and psychosocial support activities for children.
- Ability to work effectively with children and families and engage with diverse community groups.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and in multicultural environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken); knowledge of English is an asset.
- Preferably residing in the target area or able to commute regularly.
- Commitment to child protection principles, confidentiality, non-discrimination, and humanitarian codes of conduct.
