Responsibilities
1. Conduct initial assessment for and prepare data base for damaged households
2. Conduct technical field assessments for damaged houses and prepare preliminary designs, sketches, and calculations for household’s rehabilitation works.
3. Prepare bills of quantities for assessed households selected for rehabilitation.
4. Monitor daily progress and verify quantities and quality of executed works.
5. Ensure that safety measures and engineering standards are followed on-site.
6. Coordinate material delivery, storage, and usage with contractors and suppliers.
7. Prepare and submit daily and weekly site progress reports.
8. Conduct technical assessments and provide accurate feedback on field challenges.
9. Assist the Project Officer in verifying BoQs, drawings, and material lists.
10. Support the MEAL team and external monitors during field visits and evaluations.
11. Communicate any technical or logistical issues immediately to the Project Officer.
12. Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all site-related reports and photos.
13. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Project Officer or Line Manager
14. Provide technical feedback on structural or design modifications required during implementation.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or rehabilitation projects, preferably within the humanitarian sector.
- Proven experience in supervising fieldwork, workers, and technical specification in contractors.
- Experience in shelter and rehabilitation with INGOs or LNGOs is an asset.
- Languages: Excellent Arabic (spoken and written) and good English skills.
- Computing: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and engineering design software such as AutoCAD (required).
- Strong design and technical drafting skills, capable of preparing and revising engineering drawings, layouts, and as-built plans.
- Ability to conduct technical assessments and prepare cost estimates.
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement drawings and technical specifications in line with engineering and humanitarian standards.
- Strong on-site supervision and quality assurance skills.
