Responsibilities
-Maintaining good SOS image while driving and ensuring full safety measure for children and employees
-Record all trips in the vehicle logbook.
-Safely transporting SOS employees as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner. Stops only where it is safe to do so.
-Accept responsibility for damage caused by gross negligence and may be required to pay for such damage.
-Follow the correct procedure in the event of an accident. Notify the appropriate authorities immediately and render assistance where necessary.
-Ensuring that the SOS vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing and informing SOS of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours
-Keeping SOS vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance (tires, oils, lights, battery, fuel, .. etc) and will take financial responsibility for any damage might accrue from any slovenliness.
-Report any defects to the HR/ Admin Assistant. Ensure all necessary servicing is performed by reputable agencies.
-Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to ER/FS Coordinator and provide aid when necessary.
-Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles. Regularly wash the interior and exterior. Ensure vehicles always have sufficient fuel.
-Carry out all duties in an exemplary manner and provide a good role model for the children.
-Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

-Child Safeguarding (CS)

-Child protection is everyone's responsibility
-Responsible within own area of work to prevent and protect children of all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles
-Responsible for reporting any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team and/or to the respective line manager.


Qualifications
- Minimum high school certificate or other relevant education
- Valid Syrian driving license
- Safe & clean driving record


Specific Vacancy Requirements
Competencies:
-Proven experience minimum 5 years as a driver
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g., at rush hour)
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations
- Has skills in minor vehicle repair
- A polite and professional disposition

Salary and Benefits
Salary: as per SOS salary scale

6 Months contract with the option of extension
