Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the field coordinator, the Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Plan project activities in close coordination with the Technical Focal Point and Field Coordinator, ensuring timely and quality implementation according to the approved workplan.
- Supervise and manage Facilitators, ensuring regular attendance, quality of service delivery, and compliance with Terre des Hommes Italy policies, code of conduct and safeguarding standards.
- Maintain daily communication with facilitators and project staff to coordinate activities and address operational needs in collaboration with the Field Coordinator and Technical Focal Points.
- Follow-up progress against project targets and timelines, timely identifying challenges and risks and proposing corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of education, protection, social cohesion, life skills and other project activities based on identified needs and technical guidance.
- Support other project teams and contribute to cross-sectoral activities as required.
- In collaboration with facilitators, organize community events, awareness campaigns, heritage and international days, ceremonies and other project-related initiatives.
- Prepare Purchase Requests (PRs) and submit them to the Project Manager or Field Coordinator in accordance with internal procedures.
- Support the proper receipt and distribution of goods and materials in line with approved Purchase Requests.
- Monitor activities in coordination with facilitators, the Field Coordinator, Technical Focal Points, and the MEAL Department, ensuring quality standards and accurate documentation.
- Provide regular updates to the Field Coordinator and Technical Focal Points on activities implemented, achievements, challenges and protection concerns.
- Propose adjustments and improvements to activities, subject to approval by the Field Coordinator technical officers and/or Project Manager.
- Maintain regular communication with facilitators and Technical Focal Points to ensure timely identification and referral of protection concerns.
- Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities as required in coordination and under the guidance of the M&E department.
- Coordinate and ensure effective communication and positive relationships with local authorities, community representatives, service providers, and other stakeholders, in consultation with and upon approval from the Field Coordinator.
- Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to ensure effective coordination and information sharing.
- Contribute to staff performance evaluations in collaboration with the line manager.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to the Field Coordinator, highlighting outputs, achievements, challenges and recommendations.
- Collect, compile and maintain activity data and support documentation from facilitators and staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Uphold Terre des Hommes Italy Code of Conduct, child safeguarding standards, PSEA principles, confidentiality requirements and all relevant organizational policies at all times.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager in support of project implementation.

Qualifications
- University degree, diploma, or relevant professional experience in education, social work, psychology, community development, social sciences, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in implementing and coordinating activities with children, adolescents and communities, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
- Previous experience with NGOs/INGOs and community-based programs in education, protection, psychosocial support (PSS), social cohesion, life skills, or related sectors.
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is required. English - skills are desirable and considered an asset.
- At least 2 years of experience in implementing and coordinating activities with children, adolescents and communities, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
- Previous experience with NGOs/INGOs and community-based programs in education, protection, psychosocial support (PSS), social cohesion, life skills, or related sectors.
- Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is required. English - skills are desirable and considered an asset.
