Responsibilities
• Conduct camp and urban visits to assess the situation of IDPs and returnees and compile reports capturing their needs and impact of past interventions.
• Do PDMs or after service assessment to determine impact of the partner and UNHCR interventions.
• Interview IDPs and Returnees to understand their unmet needs and raise the issues with UNHCR.
• Asses the satisfaction of services by the IDPs and returnees which will guide further UNHCR and partner interventions
• Produce informative and analytical reports on agreed schedules that will be shared to the manager for consolidation.
• Be willing to work in the governorate and any other location identified by UNHCR
• Perform other tasks as required by UNHCR.

Qualifications
a. Education
• Minimum of university degree in science, law, economic, administrative or relevant fields
b. Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in providing monitoring and data collection services on projects.
• Has worked with United Nations Agencies, international NGOs and/or international companies in Northern Syria.
• Experience in protection work in humanitarian context.
• Possess a degree in law, social sciences, humanities or project management.
• Experience in conducting field-based research/monitoring, preferably in a humanitarian context.
• Knowledge of local culture and languages spoken by the affected communities, government counterparts and implementing partners in Syria.

• Assessment & Data Collection (field visits, interviews, PDMs, needs analysis).
• Analytical & Reporting Skills (produce clear, structured, and insightful reports)
• Communication & Community Engagement (interacting with IDPs/returnees and raising issues)
• Flexibility & Field Adaptability (working in different locations and challenging environments)
d. Languages:
• Strong English skills to develop and share analytical reports to UNHCR
