Job Purpose
The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end strategic planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, water/wastewater networks, power grid, or telecommunications). This role ensures that all project phases achieve technical compliance, strict adherence to budget constraints, milestones schedules, and high client satisfaction while proactively mitigating civil, environmental, and field risks.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Strategic Project Planning & Execution Project Execution Plan (PEP): Author, establish, and dynamically update the comprehensive Project Execution Plan to align on-site operations with corporate objectives and contractual timelines.
Schedule & Milestone Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of logic-linked baseline schedules (using Primavera P6 / MS Project). Monitor critical paths, identify float fluctuations, and execute acceleration plans when required.
2. Financial Governance & Cost Control Budgetary & Cash Flow Control: Manage the project budget, perform regular Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis, monitor variance, and maintain positive project cash flow.
Commercial Management: Review and approve monthly client progress billings (Invoices) in coordination with the consultant. Mitigate payment delays by ensuring compliance with contract conditions.
Variations & Claims: Identify, quantify, and negotiate Variation Orders and contractual claims to safeguard the company's profit margins.
3. Resource Optimization & Workforce Alignment Manpower Planning: Formulate strategic resource histograms to forecast engineering, technical, and labor requirements based on specific project phases.
Mobilization & Demobilization Strategy: Design and execute highly cost-efficient mobilization and demobilization schedules for specialized manpower and heavy machinery to eliminate downtime and reduce operational overhead.
4. Subcontractor & Cross-Departmental Interface Management Subcontractor Governance: Prequalify, select, schedule, and evaluate the performance of sub-contractors and vendors. Ensure absolute alignment with the main contract specifications. Internal Synergy: Drive seamless cross-functional coordination with critical supporting corporate divisions including Contracts, Procurement, Logistics, HR, and Finance to streamline material delivery and resource flow.
5. External Stakeholder Management & Statutory Approvals Client & Consultant Relations: Act as the primary interface for the company. Cultivate strong relations with clients, PMC (Project Management Consultants), and strategic partners. Statutory & Government Clearances: Lead the end-to-end coordination with municipal authorities, environmental boards, and utility providers to secure all necessary design approvals, right-of-way permissions, and final project clearances.
6. Technical Leadership & Performance Evaluation Technical Quality Transfer: Ensure that all execution methodologies (Method Statements), Shop Drawings, and technical specifications are deeply understood by the section engineers and site supervisors. Reporting Architecture: Review and critically analyze daily, weekly, and monthly technical, financial, and administrative reports to deploy immediate corrective actions. Team Empowerment: Provide mentorship, resolve cross-disciplinary engineering conflicts, and conduct formal performance reviews for all core team subordinates.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) & QA/QC Responsibilities Policy Enforcement: Guarantee the unconditional execution of the project's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems. Geotechnical & Field Risk Management: Conduct proactive risk assessments concerning deep excavations, utility line-crossings, heavy lifts, and public traffic diversions. Leadership by Example: Champion site safety culture by strictly adhering to and enforcing the wear of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety helmets, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vests, and protective eyewear at all times.

- Must have from 12 years of working experience.
- Minimum 4 years as a project manager.
- Certificate in Professional Project Management (PMP) as an advantage.
