Responsibilities
Job Summary: The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial activities of the hotel. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of the hotel's financial resources. The Chief Accountant plays a key role in budgeting, financial analysis, and safeguarding hotel assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and hotel policies.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for cost control and revenue enhancement.
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate audit processes.
Supervise accounting staff, providing training and support to maintain high performance standards.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard hotel assets.
Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
Proven experience (3+ years) in accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of hotel operations and financial management.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and high level of integrity and confidentiality.
