Responsibilities
The PSS senior volunteer is responsible for coordinating and implementing community-based psychosocial support (PSS) activities, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of semi-structured PSS sessions for children and caregivers. The PSS Officer will supervise and mentor PSS Volunteers, monitor session quality, support referrals, and ensure project documentation and reporting are completed in accordance with project requirements.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate assigned semi-structured PSS sessions using approved project curricula.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide technical support to PSS Volunteers throughout project implementation.
- Monitor volunteer-led sessions to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to approved methodologies.
- Prepare activity schedules and coordinate implementation in collaboration with project staff and community stakeholders.
- Review attendance sheets, Means of Verification (MoVs), session reports, and other project documentation for completeness and accuracy.
-Identify participants requiring additional support and ensure timely referrals through established referral pathways.
-Maintain project records, compile activity data, report them to line manager.
-Coordinate with the Project Psychologist to address technical issues and strengthen the quality of PSS interventions.
-Ensure compliance with safeguarding, PSEA, confidentiality, and the organization's Code of Conduct.
-Perform other project-related tasks assigned by the line manager within the scope of the position.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counselling, or another relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing community-based MHPSS or psychosocial support activities.
- Experience facilitating group sessions for children, caregivers, or vulnerable populations.
- Experience supervising volunteers or community facilitators is an asset.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in the local language; Turkish and English are an asset.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing community-based MHPSS or psychosocial support activities.
- Experience facilitating group sessions for children, caregivers, or vulnerable populations.
- Experience supervising volunteers or community facilitators is an asset.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
