Responsibilities
The Business Development & Proposal Officer will lead the organization's resource mobilization efforts by identifying funding opportunities, developing competitive grant proposals. The role focuses on expanding the organization's funding base by engaging with potential donors and representing the organization in meetings, networking, and partnership discussions.

Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development
• Identify funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations.
• Lead the development of concept notes, grant proposals, expressions of interest, and other fundraising documents.
• Coordinate with technical staff to collect relevant information, data, budgets, and supporting documents required for proposal development.
• Ensure all proposals comply with donor guidelines, technical requirements, and submission deadlines.
• Maintain a proposal development calendar and coordinate internal review processes.
Donor Engagement and Business Development
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective donors.
• Arrange and conduct introductory meetings with organizations that may become future funding partners.
• Maintain regular communication with prospective donors to identify future collaboration opportunities.
• Maintain an updated database of donor contacts, funding opportunities, and engagement activities.
• Prepare briefing notes and reports following donor meetings, including recommended follow-up actions.


Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or another relevant field.

Experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in proposal development, business development, donor relations, or fundraising within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Experience representing an organization with external stakeholders is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies
• Excellent proposal writing and editing skills in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong networking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Languages
• English: Professional proficiency (written and spoken) is required.
• Arabic: Native or professional proficiency is required.

AAMAL is a non-governmental organisation, provides practical training programs for various types of disability for those working in this field, especially hearing disabilities, speech and language disorders and autism.
