Responsibilities
Project planning, day-to-day coordination, follow-up with consultants and experts, stakeholder coordination, reporting, documentation, and support for workshops, trainings, consultations, and field activities.
Qualifications
Essential:
Based in Damascus, Syria.
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, social sciences, development studies, public administration, international development, project management, or another relevant field. A master’s degree is an asset.
At least two years of professional experience in project management, project coordination, civil society work, development programming, research coordination, or a related field.
Experience managing or coordinating projects, activities, consultants, timelines, workshops, and deliverables.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines at the same time.
Strong communication and coordination skills with different stakeholders.
Good understanding of the Syrian context.
Excellent Arabic communication and writing skills.
Good English communication and writing skills.
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Drive, email, Zoom, and online coordination tools.
Ability to work independently, follow up proactively, and meet deadlines.
Flexible, reliable, and able to work as part of a small team.
Desirable:
Experience with NGOs, civil society organizations, research institutions, or international cooperation projects.
Experience in urban recovery, participatory planning, Housing, Land and Property rights, environmental justice, spatial justice, community development, or post-conflict recovery.
Experience coordinating with local authorities, professional syndicates, academic institutions, community actors, or donors.
Familiarity with conflict sensitivity, safeguarding, data protection, and do-no-harm principles.
