Responsibilities
* Identify and communicate with manufacturers, importers, distributors, and other suppliers.
* Request and compare quotations, catalogues, product specifications, and commercial terms.
* Prepare purchase orders and follow up on approvals, deliveries, and documentation.
* Negotiate prices, payment terms, discounts, promotional support, and delivery schedules.
* Maintain accurate supplier, product, pricing, barcode, and purchasing records.
* Coordinate with warehouse and store teams regarding stock levels and replenishment needs.
* Monitor shortages, delayed deliveries, overstocked products, slow-moving items, and expiry risks.
* Support product selection and assortment planning based on customer demand and store requirements.
* Review supplier invoices and resolve price, quantity, or delivery discrepancies.
* Assist in planning supplier promotions, product launches, and in-store activities.
* Evaluate supplier performance based on pricing, quality, availability, and delivery reliability.
* Conduct market and competitor-price research.
* Prepare regular purchasing, cost, and supplier-performance reports.

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
* Minimum two years of purchasing or procurement experience.
* Previous experience in supermarkets, retail, food products, or FMCG is strongly preferred.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier-management skills.
* Good numerical and analytical abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing or ERP systems.
* Fluency in Arabic; working knowledge of English is preferred.
* High level of accuracy, integrity, organisation, and follow-up.
* Minimum two years of purchasing or procurement experience.
* Previous experience in supermarkets, retail, food products, or FMCG is strongly preferred.
