Responsibilities
KEY Responsibilities:
•Plan, coordinate, and provide photo and video coverage of AFH projects, activities, events, field visits, and other communication opportunities.
•Produce high-quality digital and social media content, including photography, videos, reels, graphic designs, captions, human-interest stories, interviews, and other communication materials.
•Support project and donor reporting and visibility, ensuring compliance with AFH branding and relevant donor visibility requirements.
•Coordinate with programme teams to identify communication opportunities, collect accurate project information, stories, results, and supporting materials.
•Maintain a well-organized and regularly updated media archive, including photos, videos, designs, stories, project materials, and consent forms, ensuring materials are properly named, categorized, stored, and easily retrievable.
•Ensure all media and communication activities comply with consent, safeguarding, PSEA/PSEAH, privacy, data protection, and ethical communication standards.
•Support donor and partner visits, campaigns, events, and other communication activities as required.
•Perform other relevant duties assigned by the Communication• Reporting Coordinator.

Qualifications
Job Purpose:
The Communication • Reporting Officer will support AFH communication, media documentation, visibility, reporting, and archiving activities in Damascus and assigned locations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
•University degree in Communication, Media, Journalism, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field, or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications and media.
•Master's degree is desirable and added value.
General Work Experience:
•Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience for candidates holding a relevant university degree.
•Previous experience with an NGO/INGO or humanitarian organization is highly desirable.
Skills:
•Languages:
-Excellent in English (Writing-Reading-Speaking).
-Excellent in Arabic (Writing-Reading-Speaking).
•Computing:
- advanced level in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook, teams, etc,).
-Proficiency in relevant editing and design software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools.
•Strong practical skills in photography, videography, video editing, and graphic design.
•Strong Arabic writing, interviewing, and storytelling skills, with good working knowledge of English.
•Good understanding of social media content production and digital communication.
•Ability to travel to project locations and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
