Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting MHPSS and basic needs assessment in participatory way for the IDPs in Damascus and Rural Damascus.
- Identify Mental Health/Gender Based Violence / Child protection cases that need support.
- Conduct case management following IMC’s guidelines and procedures for GBV survivors’/Child protection after detecting cases.
- Refer mental health cases according to the specific needs of each person to specialized mental health care.
- Provide basic individual or group counseling whenever needed and feasible.
- Coordinate with trainers and volunteers conducting recreational activities that promote children’s wellbeing;
- Organize psychoeducational activities for children and adults to promote wellbeing;
- Maintain, submit and update all data reports to the supervisor.
- Build, strengthen and share lessons learned regarding best practices to be followed throughout the program.
- Conduct Youth Empowerment Program for children and youth wherever possible.
- Contribute in the planning of weekly activities in the field and communicate any challenges in implementation.
- Provide family support when needed.
- Work closely and coordinate with field staff of other actors, and SARC whenever needed.
- Other related assignments as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor degree in psychological counseling.
- At least 2 years of experience working as a case manager or PSS counselor.
- Previous experience in working with psychosocial and/or other social programs with international or locals NGOs.
- Previous experience working with Gender Based Violence and CP cases is an advantage.
- Good Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, web browsers).

Specific Vacancy Requirements
- Willingness to work with a diverse team of expatriates and nationals.
- Must show flexibility and be able to adapt to a stressed working environment if required.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work in Damascus and Rural Damascus.

Workings hours: 30 WHs per week, allocated based on the program needs.

Salary and Benefits
As Per IMC Salary Scale.
