Scope/Objective
The national field project technician will be hired in the north east of Syria and be based in Hassakeh offices of UNDP to support HLP and Social Cohesion projects activities and conduct of studies in the area. Given the relative distance from the NE, the coordinator s role will be essential to oversee the proposed activities, such as the conduct of study on the ADR/CDR, capacity building of community-based actors, awareness raising and community campaigns. This is a full-time post covering the whole project duration,
Functions / Key Results Expected
- Manage and coordinate project activities from the administrative and financial point of view, applying strategic planning and systematic coordination of project activities.
- Ensure the supervision of Project personnel.
- Provide direction and leadership in advocating project objectives.
- Ensure timely preparation and compilation of the Project Work Plans and Progress.
- Manage Project administrative and security-related activities, monitor financial resources and accounting to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports.
- Prepare and manage the transfer of Project deliverables, documents and files to the UNDP.
- Coach team members to clarify task assignments, milestones, and deliverables.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies.

Recruitment Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Three years of project management experience.
Experience in community-based assistance and in participatory community actions is an asset.
Previous experience in working with institutions of the civil society and local public organizations, and with UN system is an asset.
Computer literacy is a prerequisite.
Language Requirements: Excellent English drafting skills
Arabic and English mandatory.
Preferably resident of Project Area.
