The Company Secretary is responsible for organizing all board meetings, writing minutes and documenting discussions, decisions and resolutions from board meetings, and signing all members and stakeholders on the minutes.
The Company Secretary provides administrative and clerical support to the Board, through the timely and accurate collection and sharing of information directly related to its activities. The Board Secretary ensures that the Board is well informed and that its activities are well documented for the use of Board members, the Governance Committee and relevant government bodies

Successful Candidates should have:
• University Degree preferably in Economic, Finance or Banking. A degree in Law will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking field, preferrable on secretarial tasks.
• Ability to communicate with various entities (members of the BOD, executive management, shareholders, employees, and any other parties related to the institution (
• Logical analysis, ability to solve problems, knowledge of technical aspects of writing and documenting the report.
• Adequate level of computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic & English.
• Time management skills and multitasking.
• Completed or exempted from military service (for males candidates).
• The ability to work pressure and prepare to travel inside/ outside Syria.
• The applicant must be a resident of the governorate that will be employed

The First MicroFinance Institution (FMFI-Syria) is a legal and independent entity established by the Agha Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM). Its mandate is to alleviate poverty, diminish the vulnerability of poor populations, and reduce economic and social exclusion by establishing sustainable institutions that extend a broad range of innovative financial services to underserved population. FMFI-S services cover seven governorates through eight branches and six service units in Damascus, Sweida, Aleppo, Lattakia, Tartous, Salamieh, Masyaf, and Homs.
