Responsibilities
The engineer will be based in Deir Ezzor. 100% of responsibilities, duties, and tasks will be for DEZ Assad Hospital Oxygen Generating station project.
For the Deir Ezzor project, he/she will mainly focus on support all the oxygen -Station-related repair and rehabilitation activities, including (but not only):
- Daily monitoring that all the repairs of the equipment are going according to plan and intervene quickly when changes are needed.
- Ensure availability, quality and functioning of all the working parts of the Oxygen generation station.
- Daily monitoring of the rehabilitation works.
- Monitor and ensure constant availability of all the needed spare parts, constantly monitoring the stock and place order when needed according to Medair and MoH/Hospital procedures.
- Daily report of issues and activities to the line manager.
- Defining procedures and managing the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and correct functioning of the biomedical workshop, including spare parts, technical documentations, tools, etc., including the following tasks:
- Organizing and participating in the installation of the equipment and following up the different maintenance contracts.
- Identifying the equipment requiring after sale services and ensuring their return in medical services. Performing fault diagnosis, curative, and preventive maintenance.
- Train Hospital related department on annual diagnosis and follow-up
- Participating in the assessment of suppliers and ensuring a good supply of spare parts from them.
- Train Hospital related department to manage inventory of spare parts and back-up equipment at hospital level and checking and advising on orders for consumables and spare parts.
- Managing the workshop technicians at the level of the project and elaborating their activities planning and in close coordination with the company responsible for the rehabilitation works.
- Acting as a technical referent when maintenance work requires further assistance, documentation, or additional tools. Taking the lead in organizing user training where required.
- Ensuring the proper documentation, filing and the compilation of the installation and maintenance done or required as well as defining functioning standards and monitoring systems.
- Performing preventive and curative maintenance, as well as other delegated tasks as defined in his/her job description and/or according to the line manager Requirements.


Qualifications
Education:
Candidates must hold a degree in:
- Biomedical engineering with two years' experience at least.
- Electronic engineering / Mechanical engineering with five years' experience at least in rehabilitation and maintenance work of oxygen station or similar station.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a biomedical technician (based on the education).
- High communication skills
- An ability to deal with local partners and cooperate with them to accomplish the required work
- The ability to train maintenance workers and transfer sufficient information to them, who are affiliated with the General Authority of Al-Assad Hospital (to ensure the continuity and durability of effectiveness in optimizing the Station's investment).

Language:
- English and Arabic essential.


Specific Vacancy Requirements
The duration of the contract: from 45 days to 60 days, starting from site is received from GAOAH, until the date of its official Hand over to them,
