Responsibilities
Objective 1: Contribute to SIF Projects’ Technical Development & Implementation
• Assess children’s needs, interests, and capacities based on age, gender, and specific vulnerabilities to design inclusive and relevant activity plans.
• Develop detailed Life Skills and Recreational Activity Plans in collaboration with the Education and Protection teams, including timetables, content themes, and required resources.
• Provide technical guidance for the implementation of life skills and recreational activities within community centers and selected schools.
• Support cross-governorate teams in the effective rollout of activities, ensuring quality and consistency across implementation sites.
• Design, update, and evaluate Life Skills and Recreational Activity Toolkits to ensure activities are engaging, age-appropriate, and contextually relevant.
• Lead the implementation of RCCE (Risk Communication and Community Engagement) initiatives and other thematic campaigns through capacity building and coaching of field teams.
• Deliver targeted capacity building to facilitate the adoption of relevant tools and procedures by program staff.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and education team members to adjust activity plans in response to emerging needs and contextual shifts.
• Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of attendance sheets, referrals, and follow-up documentation for all daily activities.
• Actively participate in regular coordination and technical meetings to align activities with program goals and sectoral priorities.
Objective 2: Contribute to SIF Projects’ Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
• Collaborate with the MEAL team to prepare and conduct initial assessments of children's needs, ensuring data collection informed program design and targeting.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits in coordination with MEAL staff across governorates and with the Damascus Office to ensure project progress and quality.
• Organize periodic review meetings with the MEAL department to assess indicator achievement and overall project performance.
• Participate in coordination meetings with Education & Protection Team Leaders, the Coordinator, and Program Coordinator to ensure alignment of monitoring efforts.
• Regularly analyze project data to track progress toward indicators, identify implementation challenges, and propose timely course corrections.
• Share technical knowledge and experiences with SIF colleagues through ad-hoc workshops and internal capacity-building sessions.
• Maintain secure and organized documentation, both in digital and paper formats, to ensure proper archiving and data protection.
Objective 3: Contribute to SIF Projects’ Reporting
• Report to Education and Protection Team Leaders and Coordinators on project progress, providing timely updates on implementation status and emerging issues.
• Contribute to the development of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual donor reports, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to donor guidelines.
• Support the preparation of additional narrative and analytical reports requested by Education and Protection leadership.
• Collect and documented project MoVs, including photos, beneficiary consent forms, and success/case stories, and ensured their submission to the Country Office for donor reporting and visibility.
• Maintain systematic and timely archiving of all project-related documents, ensuring accessibility, compliance, and data protection.
Objective 4: Contribute to ensure SIF Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) & PSEA implementation
• Ensure full understanding and implementation of the organization’s Child Safeguarding (CSP) and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies across all program activities.
• Consistently upheld the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professional behavior in all interactions and responsibilities.
• Manage sensitive information in strict accordance with CSP and PSEA guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and protecting the dignity of all individuals, especially children.
• Represent the organization in relevant Safeguarding and PSEA meetings, workshops, and conferences, contributing to advocacy, knowledge sharing, and capacity building efforts.
• Ensure that all personal and sensitive information related to children was securely stored and only accessible to authorized personnel.
• Carry out additional duties aligned with core responsibilities and organizational needs, based on professional expertise and evolving program requirements.

Qualifications
Qualification and experience
• Bachelor or degree in Education, social work, social studies or related field
• At least 3 years of experience with NGO (or equivalent), including at least 2 years in Education in Emergencies and/or protection
• 2 years of technical expertise in life skills and recreational activities desired
• Proven track record in delivering quality programmes to deadlines, including tools and curriculum development
• Knowledge of international humanitarian systems, institutions and donors, and related procedures, in particular with UNICEF and UNHCR
• Knowledge of humanitarian standards such as Education in emergencies, safeguarding, CHS among others
• Good computer skills: Word, Excel and other data entry programmes
• Fluency in written and spoken English
