Responsibilities
Main responsibilities:

Ensure the overall development of the SOS children village
Plan, supervise and participate in the organisation of activities to ensure that the individual needs and rights of the children and youth are addressed, respected and protected, and child and youth protection policies are followed.
Supervise and implement and ensure effective implementation of the Child, Youth and Family Development Planning processes.
Support the implementation of the organisation policies, procedures and guidelines.
Actively support and ensure that the child and youth development planning is effective.
Work and cooperate closely with care givers, youth co-workers, and social workers.
Assist in the planning and budgeting, monitoring and evaluating processes for the YCP.
Supervise compliance with administrative systems and procedures promoting the efficient and responsible use of financial resources, assets and property.
Assist and ensure that the financial system and procedures are implemented.
Ensure that records, information, and data are properly organized (accuracy, updating...) and managed (filing, utilization, and control, etc.)
Ensure ongoing compliance with local laws, rules, and regulations governing child and Youth care.

Guide and support the SOS Youth Care Program

Provide guidance to SOS Youth Care Program staff to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the program
Delegate tasks with trust and assist co-workers with the guidance and space to perform effectively.
Conduct orientation sessions for co-workers, provide ongoing feedback, carry out Performance Appraisal Discussions with subordinates
Manage routine personnel administration tasks, including discipline, work performance, management of personnel files, and leave administration.

Guide and support the SOS caregivers and SOS families
Improve the quality of child and youth care within the SOS families.
Ensure a secure environment for children and SOS caregivers.
Build positive relationships with children through day-to-day interactions and regular meetings.

Support the implementation of fundraising, sponsorship, and PR policies and programs (refer to separate schedules of responsibilities and training)
Help fundraising staff and provide background information, text and photo material, to attain standards, and fundraising objectives, and familiarize YCP co-workers on the importance of fundraising.
Ensure that international sponsorship work (child and youth progress reports, facility reports, etc.) is carried out effectively at facility levels and according to schedules of responsibilities and standards
Ensure that local sponsorships, donations and other forms of support are handled properly and according to policies and procedures
Support the head office in promoting the image of SOS


Support compliance with IT standards and policies (refer to separate schedules of responsibilities and training)

Ensure compliance with and protection of data and information
Ensure that his/her facility complies with IT rules and regulations (password, licensed software etc.)

Child Safeguarding (CS)
Child protection is everyone's responsibility
abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination based on SOS Child Protection Policy principles
Responsible for reporting any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the national CS focal person or any other member of the national CS team and/or to the respective line manager




Qualifications
-A bachelor's degree in social sciences is highly recommended, or in a related field (educational sciences, psychology, social work, etc.)
-Several years of experience in a relevant field.
