Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
• Develop, implement, and continuously update the airport's non-aeronautical business development strategy and roadmap.
• Identify and create new commercial opportunities across retail, F&B, duty-free enhancements, advertising and media, real estate, and ancillary services.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to ensure all opportunities are strategically, operationally, and technically viable.
• Define and execute innovative concepts to enhance airport facilities, services, and customer experience while maximizing commercial returns.
• Contribute to the preparation and management of the non-aeronautical commercial budget.
2. Tendering & New Opportunity Development
• Identify and evaluate new commercial opportunities within the airport and surrounding areas (tenders and market-driven initiatives).
• Lead the end-to-end tendering process including preparation of advertisements, RFQs, RFPs, and contractual documentation.
• Prepare and present business cases, feasibility studies, and strategic recommendations to senior management and board-level stakeholders.
• Manage bidder engagement processes including pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarifications.
• Oversee the evaluation process ensuring transparency, consistency, and adherence to defined standards.
• Coordinate closely with Legal, Finance, and technical teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and completeness of documentation.
• Support contract negotiation, drafting, and finalization for new tenants and partners.
• Ensure all tenant designs, fit-outs, and operational setups comply with airport standards, technical requirements, and security regulations.
• Facilitate smooth handover to operations in coordination with the Concessions & Retail function once tenants become operational.
3. Contract Renewal & Performance Management
• Monitor and identify contracts approaching expiry and initiate renewal or re-tendering processes.
• Collaborate with the Concessions & Retail team to evaluate tenant performance and commercial outcomes.
• Develop and present recommendations on contract renewal or re-tender strategies based on performance analysis.
• Support the preparation and execution of renewal agreements ensuring alignment with legal and commercial standards.
4. Cross-Functional Projects & Commercial Initiatives
• Lead and participate in strategic commercial projects (e.g., duty-free expansion, terminal development, passenger services, and infrastructure enhancements).
• Identify and develop new service offerings (e.g., digital platforms, mobile applications, ancillary services) to enhance passenger experience and revenue streams.
• Participate in relevant industry events including travel and duty-free events (MEADFA, TFWA), food & beverage and hospitality events (FAB, Gulfood), and ACI commercial and revenue conferences.
• Participate in ISO certification processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain effective coordination with government authorities and public entities when required.
5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, investors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all internal and external communications are consistent, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Business Development team including the Business Development Lead and Property & Real Estate Lead.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture and encourage cross-functional alignment.
6. Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor the performance of tenants and concessionaires within the business development portfolio.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies including Personal Data Protection and Processing (PDPL) regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and market developments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management within the scope.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance/Economics, Real Estate and Commercial Development, or related discipline.
* Minimum 8–10 years of experience in business development or commercial strategy in a multi-asset environment, preferably in the aviation field.
* High level of managerial skills including planning, follow-up, and research for all business-related requirements.
* Strong understanding of airport commercial business and concession models.
* Financial modeling and business case development including ROI, IRR, and cost-benefit analysis.
* Market research and benchmarking skills.
* Strong negotiation, deal structuring, and presentation skills.
* Understanding of passenger segmentation, SPP (Spend Per Passenger), RPP (Revenue Per Passenger), and lease structuring models (MAG, revenue share, hybrid).
